Lifestyle that is Shared by "Silasaasanam"
Abstract
Inscriptions found in the temples of Tamil Nadu help us to understand the ancient culture and lifestyle of the Tamils as well as how the literature and archaeological records can be used to understand the same. Inscriptions in temples are a source of global discussion and Tamil religion's contribution to Asian culture. There is also a word for a stone called "Silai" (idol). A notification is called an 'Uttharavu Saasanam' (charter). Hence, the inscription is also called Silasaasanam (Silai+Saasanam = Silasaasanam). Based on the data found in the inscriptions of the temples found in the Ponneri circle, the study of the necessity of the religious needs between the temples and the social organisations associated with them becomes the field of study. The inscriptions present the existence of this temple through the History of Inscriptions, Inscription Literature, Religion through Inscriptions, Ponneri Circular Inscriptions, the Lighting of Lamps in Temples, Penalties, Offerings, and Worship Expenses, Grants for Special Worships, Wages to Employees, Taxes, Dance Women's Contributions, and Special Treatises.
